Typeface assignment

This time we were given an assignment to design our own set of Typeface based on a chosen genre/sub genre.

I set myself out to learn more about fonts used in fantasy where most of their typefaces contain either custom letters (which are un readable since its in that fantasy worlds language and can be translated to ours made by the manga writer.)

This website helped me guide the way on making my own font:
And the free software downloaded to convert .SVG to .TFF is fontforge at:

Here's a survey for my font:

It took some time to understand fontforge due to the classical looking UI that will be shown later.

I used Arial Regular as the skeleton (convert them to outlines through Type>Create Outlines) and added serifs on them here's a sample from A to Z below:

I went and also added numerals and some all other possible buttons on your standard keyboard and ended with this:
Once I finished that I exported each artboard (94 total) and labeled them appropriately for ease of access.
Once exported I opened fontforge where it looked like this:
In each empty X box is where the fun begins
In their online manual here are detailed instructions on what this display is representing
This is a sample of what it will look like when I successfully imported the .svg file
Once I've done all the importing and positioning adjustments, I only need to check for errors then lastly would be generating a font out of the set of characters.
Element>Validation>Validate to check for errors, if there's no errors it will look like this:
Then to generate the font there will be some settings that needs to be checked according to http://designwithfontforge.com/en-US/The_Final_Output_Generating_Font_Files.html

Once completed, the font is successfully generated and can be installed and used immediately.
And also as a requirement, I submitted my font at dafont.com
Here is the link to my google drive link to download and use my typeface
That's all from me thank you for reading.
